Melanie Pay, Regional Commissioner, AYSO Region 1315 – Mountains Edge
Melanie Pay serves as the Regional Commissioner for AYSO Region 1315, bringing a deep passion for soccer, a commitment to family, and a dedication to AYSO’s mission of delivering quality youth soccer programs in a fun, family-centered environment.
As a mother of five boys—ages 18, 16, 14, 12, and 9—Melanie has experienced the transformative power of AYSO firsthand. Her family has embraced the soccer community, with her boys participating as players, referees, and EPIC buddies, and her husband, Nick, serving as the EPIC Administrator.
Melanie’s personal journey as a parent of a son with severe autism has given her a unique perspective on the importance of inclusive programs. The EPIC program has been especially meaningful to her, providing opportunities for children of all abilities to learn teamwork, patience, and ball control while fostering connections among families.
Since moving to Las Vegas in 2020, Melanie has strengthened her ties to the Mountains Edge community as a substitute teacher. Her leadership experience includes four seasons on the AYSO Region 1315 Board, serving as Registrar and Assistant Regional Commissioner, where she oversaw the 10U–15U Divisions and launched the EPIC program.
Guided by AYSO’s Six Philosophies—Everyone Plays®, Balanced Teams, Open Registration, Positive Coaching, Good Sportsmanship, and Player Development—Melanie is dedicated to creating an inclusive and supportive environment where every player can thrive. Her goals include expanding the Girls’ divisions, growing the EPIC program, and increasing outreach to ensure more children experience the joy of soccer.
Melanie is excited to lead Region 1315 alongside a dedicated board, coaches, and families, working together to uphold AYSO’s mission and values while creating lasting opportunities for players to grow on and off the field.
